REVIEW OF
KEN USTON'S PROFESSIONAL BLACKJACK
Reviewed by: Gregg M. Corsello, D.M.D.

I feel this disk is the definitive
blackjack program for the home
computer. If you're looking for just
another game to play on your
Commodore, don't buy this disk. If you
are a serious blackjack player, this
disk is a must have.
The program is entirely menu driven
and simulates accurate casino play in
all the major casinos of Reno, Las
Vegas, and Atlantic City. You can
select the casino by name or you can
select single, double, or multiple
deck play and the menu will prompt you
with a list of casinos that offer the
type of play you have selected. You
then dial in your bankroll and the
amount you want to wager per hand. You
also have the option of selecting from
several playing strategies, from basic
strategy all the way up to the Uson
Advanced Point Count. Alternatively,
you can dial in your own point
counting system. After all this
information is dialed in (it is all
menu driven), the screen takes you to
the casino to start Blackjack play.
You can play with or without a
'teaching prompt box'. If you decide
to use this little playing aid, the
computer buzzes when you have made a
playing error. You can also speed up
or slow down the speed of the deal,
and have the computer play by itself
in any of the strategies.
All in all, I'd have to rate this
program an A+ for the serious gambler.
